Tanya Mirabal – Interior Designer

Tanya is an organized, intelligent & passionate Interior Designer who loves to think outside the box. She allows her clients’ lifestyle and tastes, along with their project’s architecture, to inspire her designs while providing a strong focus on function and how it relates to the built environment. She does all this with the utmost attention to detail while maintaining strict schedules and budgets along the way. When you choose to work with Tanya and Studio 74 Interiors, you will be working with a creative designer who meticulously plans all aspects of any construction or remodeling project to eliminate a lot of unnecessary stresses. Growing up, Tanya knew early on that Interior Design was her calling. As a child, she loved playing with spatial relationships and art, often simply rearranging furniture and decorating the house for the holidays. She even remodeled parts of her childhood home when she was young (not necessarily with parental permission). She was born in Germany at Hahn AFB and moved around quite a bit as her father was a Master Sargeant and air traffic controller in the Air Force. In addition to Germany, she also lived in Kansas City, MO & Clovis, NM before her father decided to settle the family down in Austin, TX in 1982. She interned with Slifer Designs in Vail, CO in the summer of 1999 prior to graduating with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design.

After college Tanya worked for various residential Interior Designers and architects in Austin, including working 2.5 years with a lighting designer doing high-end lighting design, prior to going out on her own. Her diverse background and knowledge of design, lighting & construction offer clients a unique combination and experience.
